Hi all! It’s Sarah, cosmetologist and skincare addict! I was really suspicious at first about skinworx Phyto Correct Serum. The reason I say this is because there are a lot of redness-reducing skincare products on the market that make bold claims yet deliver underwhelming results. I admit it… I was wrong to doubt this product! I am absolutely wowed by this serum. The product is thin and quickly absorbed which I like, and there is no overpowering scent which I love! The packaging is LUXE since it’s glass and nice and heavy. I do like the dropper, it gives a really professional look to the product. However, I urge those who use products with a dropper NOT to apply the dropper directly onto your face like you see influencers do. That is not a sanitary practice!! Use the dropper to dispense the product into your hand, and do not let the dropper touch your skin! Thank u. I used this serum during a facial service yesterday on a client with oily and sensitive skin that is prone to redness and is easily reddened. Typically after my facials with this client, he is VERY red after extractions/massage, and remains red for hours. I applied the Phyto Correct Serum as a calming post procedure step (as recommended by the manufacturer), and … wow. My client’s skin tone looked even, hydrated, with a significant reduction in redness. His redness was barely noticeable in fact. I was shocked and so happy! The reason why this product worked so well for my client was the trifecta of actives: green tea polyphenols, vitamin c, and hyaluronic acid. The two antioxidants are very complimentary (green tea and C) plus the addition of hyaluronic acid can increase product penetration. This serum is very effective at immediate redness reduction and I am super excited to see longer-term results. I expect a general reduction in redness, decreased sebum, and brightening. A+ !!!

So let me just say when I first got this serum I had decided right away that I wasn’t going to like it. Only because I am a super huge fan of products that smell good and this literally almost has no smell at all. But as soon as a put the first drop on my face I fell in LOVE. As a professional skincare writer, I test hundreds of products every year, and sometimes I need something to help undo an unwanted result. As an esthetician, when I first saw this product – it made me think of Skin Ceuticals’ Phyto Corrective Gel..which I enjoy and use. When I received Skinworx Phyto Correct Serum, I stopped using Skin Ceuticals’ Phyto Corrective Gel to see if they had any differences. Skinworx’s product in my personal opinion is more of a gel. It applies smoothly and dries quickly, which I like because increases the speed of my routine. I think it works better than Skin Ceuticals. (which I wasn’t expecting, I assume they would be pretty much the same) My skin in the winter generally gets red and can look uneven. This is my first experience with Skinworx, but I absolutely love their lip plumper so I was very excited to try this. I immediately added it to my regimen right after cleansing my skin. The color comes from an antioxidant rich green tea Polyphenols. This serum looks like something straight out of a laboratory and my interest was piqued by the hue alone. While the recommended 2-3 drops on the label wasn’t enough to cover my face entirely, I use 4 drops and that does the trick. Post application, my skin has that tacky grip, and I can instantly feel the Hyaluronic Acid in this product. As someone with sensitive skin, this serum did not cause any negative side effects and it felt like there was nothing resting on my skin. It absorbed quicker than most serums I’ve used and and has assisted in maintaining excess oil buildup. Take it from an esthetician the phyto correct serum is an amazing multi-correction for anyone who wants to reduce redness in their skin, needs a fabulous pre-sun care, a calming after treatment for intensive exfoliation or you want just want a multitasking serum to nourish your skin with beautiful hydration and antioxidants. I’m in my early 30s and I always have room in my life for an antioxidant rich serum because free radical damage and premature aging is not on my to-do list. If I can make anything clear it is that I love clean yet effective skincare products and that is exactly what this is. Standout ingredients in the serum for me are willow bark extract for gentle exfoliation, green tea polyphenols to defend against aging and melatonin which enhances all the botanical extracts and antioxidants in this serum. The serum is lightweight and serves well as a base to layer the rest of your skin care over top. In my skincare drawers i always need a couple of items that are soothing for when my moisture barrier is compromised or i have irritation from using retinol. The skinworx phyto correct serum is a simple but effective formula against redness. First off the color of the serum itself is green which, if youve ever studird the color wheel, is used to conlunteract red. In the beginning i used a lot from the dropper on my face but actually justa few drops is fine because it spreads easily. I also reccomend letting it absorb in your skin before layering any other products. I did notice pilling from my other products and i thiits because i didnt let the serum absorb that much and or because this serum has hemp oil which sometimes doesnt mesh well with other products. I reccomend this for anyone who wants to treat redness on their skin regardless if their skin is oily or dry.

I found the Skinworx Phyto Correct Serum to be a great, soothing every day serum for all skin types. I love how light the serum is and that it protects against free radicals in the environment. I have a lot of sun and environmental damage and hyperpigmentation/discoloration spots and am always looking for skincare products that will help repair that damage and prevent further damage. This is a super soothing serum for the serious skin enthusiast. The term phyto correcting is what green tea polyphenols do for your skin and this product has it in spades. If you have an upcoming surgery, regularly may be doing non invasive procedures, or have aggressive routines this is great for skin recovery. Bringing down skin inflammation is helpful in cell healing and restoration as well as anti-aging. The serum itself is bright green and the feel is a cooling slippery gel all packaged in a beautiful protective dark green glass bottle with a dropper. It does need to be massaged in as I found spots on my face where I didn’t do that so well, and it is green, so that’s a thing. My only criticism is that the topper has to be pushed down to open, like a prescription bottle would. I have hand injury scar tissue that makes that simple action difficult and slightly painful. It would be great if there was a choice to not have that!

With the harsh cold winter in Chicago and one’s skin being more prone to redness, the Phyto Correct Serum came at the right time. This is a serum which glides on really well and doesn’t absorb too rapidly, like others on the market, but does absorb completely, leaving no ‘layer’ on the skin. Which makes it great for all skin types and all weather conditions. Not only is it packed with soothing, calming and hydrating ingredients, but has additional vitamin C and other antioxidants for extra protection and skin benefits. I have been using the Phyto Correct Serum twice a day for over 2 weeks now, and I have really enjoyed incorporating it into my routine. It really reduces any redness, and sensitivity experienced, plus adds a little extra hydration. Currently my skin is extremely dry, so I did pair it additionally with a hydrating serum and a barrier repair cream. It is great to know that it also provides antioxidant protection, so no need to apply an additional serum or product for that purpose. I found 4 to 5 drops covered my face and neck sufficiently. The real test came when I accidentally superficially burned my hand with some boiling water. I immediately applied the Phyto Correct Serum and found it soothed the skin within minutes and really reduced any redness including raised inflammation. So safe to say, this product can be used post-procedure as recommended, for in-salon treatments such as needling, lasers and peels. Within my 13+ years within the skin and medical aesthetic industry, I enjoy supporting smaller brands, especially those that work. The Skinworx Phyto Correct Serum is a great product which does what it claims, it is produced in FDA-regulated labs, has peer-reviewed literature formulations that are effectively delivered into the skin with low preservative levels and no fragrance. 5 stars overall!!

This is a nice calming serum. There isn’t much of a scent. The consistency is more like a water-base. If you are someone who likes to layer their serums this would be a good product that you can apply first. I used the Skinworx Phyto Correct Serum after using Skinworx’s AHA scrub. I had a little irritation when first using the combination of the products but I’m not sure if it was due to one or the other but I stuck it out a few more times and I honestly think it was just my skin getting accustom to the ingredients. I personally haven’t noticed any brightening affect yet, but I plan to continue to use it in my regimen. I think I need to consistently use it for a longer period of time to truly see its results. I really like to truly test out product lines solely using products from that brand. I think I’m going to get the Skinworx Nourish+Repair Cream that received such great reviews.

My skin naturally flushes very easily and I have rosacea, so I love trying products for helping to reduce redness and increase hydration. While there’s nothing really that will combat the way my skin flushes, this serum definitely reduces the visible redness from the rosacea! This is a fantastic formulation that is very lightweight, sinks right into the skin, and doesn’t leave my skin feeling tacky like a lot of serums tend to do. Between the texture, feeling, and effects of this product, I can definitely tell that this was formulated by dermatologists with these specific skincare concerns in mind! It definitely won’t hurt you if you don’t deal with these issues, in fact, I think this would be suitable for pretty much anybody. But if you have rosacea, I would HIGHLY recommend giving this a try!

This review is for Skinworx Phyto Correct Serum. It’s great for discoloration, discomfort, or dry/dehydrated skin, unfortunately my skin falls into the dry category especially in the winter. This serum was a life saver!! It’s a watery gel that absorbs in the skin perfectly without getting sticky. My face looked more plump, hydrated and an even/brighter complexion over time.I didn’t get to use this during any irritation, so I can’t speak to that, but this bottle is filled with natural healing ingredients so unless you’re allergic to specific ingredients, I’d say that it’s at least worth trying.I appreciate that this is unscented, but just looking at the ingredient list, you’d assume it to smell like herbs or botanical oils – which I’m a fan of but it is offensive to most.
